Iris-Watercolor Painting

I had a lot of fun with this painting. My Dad showed me how to paint dew drops, and I had a hard time knowing when to stop because they were just so much fun to do!

Since I painted this in watercolor, I was able to rub off the paint in the front of the dew drop, making it look as if the sun is shining through them and onto the flower.

If I remember right, I first began my dew drops with the white  counter light. Then I placed a shine on the top and went on to the shadows, in between colors, and the sun glow that I spoke of before. In order to get the white to really stand out, you may have to cheat and use Acrylic paint.
