This is my next adventure! I’m illustrating my story, Secret Under the Apple Tree. I’ve mentioned this on my about page, and now I’ve started the expedition! I’m very excited to be sharing this project with you! I’m planning on self publishing it. I’ll let you know what company I use. This first illustration here will be my front cover. Any tips on illustrating or publishing would be very appreciated!
This was a commission that I just recently finished. I’m happy how it turned out. Soon I’ll ship it on its way to its owner! Something to remember though, is that you can’t ship on the weekends! Bummer!
Medias: I used my Faber Castell markers, .005 Micron pen, colored pencils, and pastel pencils. They all layered very well on Strathmore Bristol paper! (Its very thick and hearty) 😉
I used four different mediums, Faber Castell markers, .005 Micron pen, Drewent colored pencils, and
Generals pastel pencils.
The green is colored pencil. I used my markers for the darker areas. And pastels for the ground and touch ups here and there. I’ll post the finished product tomorrow.
I’m having fun drawing this old Ford Car and am putting my Faber Castell Markers to use. I’m hoping to finish this today or tomorrow and have it available as a print on Fine Art America.com
I started by using my regular brown brush pen and then gradually added other shades of brown and grey from my new set of markers, by Faber Castell. They’re pretty good markers, but the size I got was not as large as my usual. They also put out a lot more ink. I’m still learning how to work with them. Hopefully I’ll figure out just the right technique. 😉 Next I will be incorporating pastel into my Ink Series. So far I’m having fun and can’t wait to do more! 🙂
I really think that feathers are neat! I took a photo of this dove’s feather a few years back and now I decided to draw a picture of it. Soon I’ll be trying out some Faber Castell Markers and see how they work out. 🙂 Sadly, the company that made the marker that I’m using went out. So I can’t get anymore. 😦 I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get the same affect with my new markers, but I guess we’ll see. 😉
