Hello my friends! Thank you all for sticking with me, as we enter another year! Since I started in 2012 I’ve gained 172 followers! Thank you all so much for your friendship! Here is my year in review for 2016! Other than birthday cards for folks, I really haven’t done many paintings this year. I guess I’ve gotten a little discouraged when it comes to fine art. People don’t seem to be buying them like they used to. So I’m trying to express my art in other directions. I’m trying to become a book illustrator. However, I’m still making hand carved jewelry and selling them on my mom and dad’s Etsy shops:
Cottage Made Gifts
Here are a few examples of what I’ve made this year:
We also are selling some vintage Barbie’s and accessories in our Cottage Made Gifts, shop. They were found in the attic of a very old house and kept safe in a Barbie Case.
This year, I’ve been working hard on becoming a book illustrator. I’m also trying to self publish my own children’s book called, The Monster. I’m hoping to get it published by March of 2017.
Thank you guys again! Praying for many blessings this New Year!
Hey all! I hope this winter finds everybody warm and cozy! I just thought that I aught to touch bases and tell everybody what I’ve been up to lately. 😉
I’ve been doing a lot of illustration art and posting it on my other blog at: heatherstinnett.wordpress.com. Please follow my other blog and see what else I’m up to!
On my other blog, I’ve been doing illustrations for a children’s book my sister and I wrote called, The Monster. It’s been a fun project, and I’m excited to be finding my style as a children’s book illustrator. I can’t wait to get it finished and show it to the world! Check out my other illustrations here:https://heatherstinnett.wordpress.com/
Just recently, I started getting into hand drawn animation. This is a gif I created using Clip Studio Paint. It’s a great program! See my blog post about it here:https://heatherstinnett.wordpress.com/2016/12/11/my-first-animated-gif/
Thanks for keeping up with my projects! I hope to see you on both of my blogs. I just wanted to let y’all know that I’m still keeping busy, it’s just been on another blog. 😉
I’m so excited to have this Starfish pendant finished! It was my first 3D carving, and was a lot of work to make. I carved little pearls all around it and a shell in the middle. It’s accented with lovely beads in the colors, green blue, brown and purple! The starfish itself is in lovely colors of green and teal.
This necklace is available in our Etsy shop at: stinnettstudio.etsy.com

I had a lot of fun drawing this picture. Charcoal always gives such depth to a drawing and pops it out.
I always love drawing Shepherds and sheep it brings many Bible verses to my mind.
Thanks for looking!
Luk_12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Luk_15:4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
Luk_15:6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
Joh_10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Joh_10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
My Mom made another one of her beautiful Juniper wood, Hummingbird Necklaces! I really like the complimentary colors of the stone beads she added with it.

My Mom and Dad made this really cool Bass Necklace a few days ago, hand carved out of wood. The fish is attached to a real fishing swivel. I think it’s a really cool Idea!

Nice to chat with you all again, hope to talk again soon!
So it was my turn to make a walking stick. 🙂 I was too chicken to do a carving like my folks had, but painting was more up my alley so I made this Garden Nature Stick. It was a lot of fun and I would love to make more! Each bug and flower has their names written beside them. I signed and numbered this stick as #1! I’m very excited and hope that it will find its way into someone’s heart and home! Its available in my Dad’s Etsy shop at:stinnettstudio.etsy.com .
The stick includes Hand Painted: Black Eyed Susan, Ivy Vine, Bumble Bee, Honey Bee, Glass Wing Butterfly, Morning Glory, Blue Butterfly, Ivy Vine, Leopard Frog, Snail and Meadow Mushroom, and Lotus.
