Honey Bee~ Coffee Mixed Media Drawing

Honey Bee web

Happy Mothers Day!

I created this card for my Mom, calling her our Queen Bee!

I used coffee, Ink Pen, and Watercolor. This was a very fun and simple project. I’m starting to feel a series coming on… Bugs! What a brilliant idea! I’ll do a bug series!

Illistrating My First Book~Secret Under the Apple Tree ~Adding Color

After outlining my sketch with pen, I added watercolor. The color is very vibrant! And the hard textured paper seems to cup it and hold it ( at least, that’s what I imagine its doing). ๐Ÿ˜‰
I’m not sure what paint I’m using, because I got my pallet from an estate sale, which still had left over paint inside. But from the other paints I got from there, I figure its Winsor and Newton, or Grumbaucher. I never used those before, so I was very pleased at their quality! When your just starting out, you can’t afford expensive paints. I feel very blessed to have all the supplies I need now to create my illustrations!

1956 Oldsmobile Super 88~ Drawing

Art Prints

This was a commission that I just recently finished. I’m happy how it turned out.ย  Soon I’ll ship it on its way to its owner!ย  Something to remember though, is that you can’t ship on the weekends! Bummer!

Medias: I used my Faber Castell markers, .005 Micron pen, colored pencils, and pastel pencils. They all layered very well on Strathmore Bristol paper! (Its very thick and hearty) ๐Ÿ˜‰

*Commission* Oldsmobile- Sketch in Progress Stage 1 and 2

Ford Model T. – Ink and Pastel Drawing

Sell Art Online

I was at an orchard when I saw this really cool car drive in. The Model T. ranges from the year 1908-1927.

In this drawing I used Faber Castell brush pens for most of the car. I also used a .005 micron pen for the steering wheel, windshield, etc… In my last step I used pastel pencilsย  for the ground and finishing touches on the car. It was a fun project. There were two more old cars that pulled up at the same time that I am hoping to draw.

Old Ford Model T Car- Ink Drawing in Progress

Old ford in progress I’m having fun drawing this old Ford Car and am putting my Faber Castell Markers to use. I’m hoping to finish this today or tomorrow and have it available as a print on Fine Art America.com

Raven- Ink Drawing

Photography Prints

I started by using my regular brown brush pen and then gradually added other shades of brown and grey from my new set of markers, by Faber Castell. They’re pretty good markers, but the size I got was not as large as my usual. They also put out a lot more ink. I’m still learning how to work with them. Hopefully I’ll figure out just the right technique. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Next I will be incorporating pastel into my Ink Series. So far I’m having fun and can’t wait to do more! ๐Ÿ™‚
