Original Chipmunk~ Coffee Mixed Media Drawing

Here is one of my latest creations.  I used quite a few medias including : Coffee, Watercolor, Pastel, and Pen. I love the look of coffee, it creates a really cool texture and look. This was painted on a 140 lb. watercolor card, dimensions: 5″x6 7/8″ ( 12.7 x 17.4 cm).

Tin Lizzie~ Drawing

Ford Model T. – Ink and Pastel Drawing

I was at an orchard when I saw this really cool car drive in. The Model T. ranges from the year 1908-1927.

In this drawing I used Faber Castell brush pens for most of the car. I also used a .005 micron pen for the steering wheel, windshield, etc… In my last step I used pastel pencils  for the ground and finishing touches on the car. It was a fun project. There were two more old cars that pulled up at the same time that I am hoping to draw.

Mr. Bunting-Pastel Drawing

This Lazuli Bunting is a little friend of ours who loves to eat sunflower seeds from our feeder.  His wife, “The Misses” also comes and pecks around at our feeder. She really likes to take her time and is in no hurry to get back to the nest.  We’ve known these beautiful birds since last year, and were delighted that they came back again this year!

This was a card I did for my sister who likes Pugs. It was my first time working with pastel pencils.
